I often encourage everyone to write blogs, and I have repeatedly mentioned the benefits of writing articles in various corporate internal trainings or my own online courses. But every time I mention writing an article, someone always asks me how to process pictures?
Well, besides purchasing copyrighted stock photos, is there any other way to obtain beautiful, eye-catching but legal pictures?
The answer is of course yes, I will recommend students to use “CC0 Gallery”. The so-called “CC0” means that the original author provides another authorization option of “[No rights reserved] (http://creativecommons.tw/cc0)”, which allows the rights holder to choose not to be protected by laws related to copyright and databases, nor to enjoy the exclusive rights provided directly to the creator by law.
“[Public Domain Contribution Declaration] (http://creativecommons.tw/cc0)” (CC0) allows scientists, educators, artists, other creators and copyright holders, or rights holders whose content is protected by the database, to waive their interests in their respective works and release these works into the public domain as much as possible, so that others can freely create, enhance or reuse based on the work for any purpose without being restricted by copyright or database-related laws.
Speaking of “CC0 Gallery”, in addition to several well-known websites such as Pixabay, Unsplash, there are actually many unknown “CC0 Gallery” websites in various countries around the world, which provide a variety of pictures for the public to use for commercial purposes while complying with relevant regulations!
However, it is important to note that although the original author has given up the rights related to the work, it does not mean that you and I can take the copyright as our own or claim that we are the original author. Everyone should note that although fair use is allowed, you cannot claim to be the original creator of the image after downloading it or editing or modifying it.
Below, we will help you organize some useful CC0 libraries, come and try them out!
