Writing allows you to meet your readers
I still remember that a few days ago, I received Brother Fu’s e-newsletter “[Letter from Brother Fu] (https://afu.tw/4393)”. The theme of this issue is very interesting. The title is “Writing allows you to meet your readers”… Well, it caught my attention right away.
Speaking of writing, although it makes people’s eyes light up, the word “encounter” makes me smile knowingly. Why is this? Because many years ago, I published a novel called “Who Should Meet Me”.
Let’s get back to the topic, I received the email from Brother Fu, and I thought this passage was really great and expressed my true feelings. Instead of thinking that writing is too difficult, or mistakenly thinking that writing must be for the purpose of conveying stories or sharing knowledge and opinions, I more agree that the task of writing is actually to allow you and your readers to meet quietly in a certain field of life.
In the e-newsletter, Fu Ge also shared interesting experiences with everyone based on his own personal experience. For example, I often meet readers by chance at a public speaking event or even a triathlon event. Well, it was a really wonderful experience, and I’ve had similar opportunities.
The meaning and value of writing
This reminds me of the late American basketball star Kobe Bryant. He once said: “The most important thing in life is to inspire others as much as possible so that they can shine in what they want to do.”
Thank you Brother Fu for writing this e-newsletter and encourage everyone to practice writing together. Many people think that writing is lonely, but it is not. Thanks to Brother Fu for sharing his personal experience and sharing the benefits of writing with everyone through e-newsletters. Writing is actually a very interesting thing. Everyone is welcome to practice writing together and record a beautiful life at the same time.
Brother Fu mentioned in the e-newsletter that he is intensively preparing for the upcoming book “Game-Based Teaching Technology”. Gamification teaching is not only a very popular topic in recent years, but also one of Fu Ge’s many areas of expertise. In order to keep improving, Fu Ge also went through a lot of deletions and rewrites during the writing process.
Rewriting is the key to accumulating writing skills
Seeing this also reminds me of my Facebook friend Kang Wenbing, who once wrote in his book “[In-depth Reporting Writing] (https://www.books.com.tw/exep/assp.php/vista/products/0010788881?utm_sourc e=vista&utm_medium=ap-books&utm_content=recommend&utm_campaign=ap-202210)” mentioned: The “rewriting” action that writers generally ignore is actually the most important process of accumulating writing ability.
As the American Pulitzer Prize winner Anne Hull said: “Successful writing requires a strong sense of competition, not with others, but with yourself; you must be tenacious to be the best version of yourself.” This “tenacity” is most clearly demonstrated in the rewriting stage.
Reading Brother Fu’s e-newsletter made me enlightened and inspired me a lot. I recommend everyone to subscribe to Brother Fu’s e-newsletter “[Letter from Brother Fu] (https://afu.tw/4393)”. At the same time, I am also looking forward to the early publication of the book “Game-Based Teaching Technology”!
Of course, the most important thing is to encourage everyone to join the ranks of writing!
