A lawyer's 2.5 hours: From "Writing programs has nothing to do with me" to personally launching the website

During the time I was teaching Vibe Coding, the most frequently asked question was: “I can’t write programs at all. Can I really learn this?”
This article is the best answer I have seen so far.
The author, lawyer Huang Jianzhong, is a student in the “Vibe Coding for Claude Code” practical class. He admits that he “stayed away” from programming in the past, but he spent the last 30 minutes of class making a prototype of a personal website. After returning home, he spent another two hours fine-tuning, buying a domain, deploying it, and finally getting the website officially online. From ideation, design, adjustment to launch, the whole process takes only 2.5 hours by one person. There are no engineers, no designers, and no outsourcing fees.
I was deeply moved after reading his work, so I reproduced it in its original form with permission, with only a few paragraphs and titles. If you have ever felt that “making websites and writing programs is other people’s business,” this article is worth reading. If you want to first understand what you are learning in this class, you can also refer to the article I wrote “Can I use Claude Code even if I don’t know how to program?” A Complete Self-Study Guide for Writers》.
The following is the original text of lawyer Huang Jianzhong, thank you for your permission to reprint; the paragraph titles were added by Vista.
When I signed up, I didn’t actually set any goals.
Yesterday, I participated in the “Vibe Coding for Claude Code” course taught by Vista teacher. The results far exceeded my expectations. I especially want to write about my experience. Thank you teacher by the way.
To be honest, my mood when signing up was very simple - I just wanted to understand “what is Vibe Coding” and “what can Claude Code do”. I didn’t set any specific goals. What I thought in my mind was: learn it first, then talk about it, and then slowly think about how to apply it. After all, I am a lawyer by background, and I have always stayed away from programming in the past. I always felt that it was the world of engineers and had nothing to do with me.
Unexpectedly, this class completely subverted my imagination: it turns out that now you can make things by simply explaining your ideas clearly and discussing back and forth with AI. Even if you don’t understand programming language or technology, it can still help you produce the results you want. It’s really amazing.
Last 30 minutes of class: In less than 20 minutes, a website took shape
The last 30 minutes of the course were practical time. The teacher gave three suggested directions, and I chose the first one - a personal marketing website. My idea at the time was very simple, let’s give it a try: I gave Claude my resume and image photos, and then selected a few consultant websites that I thought were of good quality as architectural references, and designated our law firm’s official website as the visual design tone. In less than 20 minutes, a decent-looking website took shape. I was really surprised at the moment - if this was outsourced to a website design company, it would have taken more than 20 days from the back-and-forth communication to the production of the first draft. It was completed in 20 minutes.

Almost all the public articles you see are finished products after repeated polishing. But what I cherish the most is the warm judgment before the finished product - this is the reason why I created Vista AI Inspiration Supply Station: a weekly thought note for fellow travelers in the AI era, sharing those Yoshimitsu Kataha that will not appear in formal articles with you who are willing to get closer.
After going home and spending another two hours, the website is officially launched.
After returning home, I spent about an hour fine-tuning the wording, changing the logo, handling some small details, and linking the website with the official website of the office. Then I spent nearly an hour deciding on the domain name, completing the purchase, and finally asked Claude Code to help me upload and deploy it.
Now, the website has been officially launched.
In other words, this is a website that only took 2.5 hours to complete, all by yourself! From ideation, design, adjustment to launch, there are no designers, no engineers, and no additional outsourcing costs. For someone like me, who has a non-technical background and a “come and learn first” mentality, this sense of control of “directly turning ideas into finished products” is really shocking.
After taking the class, I not only made results, but also had a direction for the next step.
I originally had the mentality of “learn it first, then apply it later”. After taking the class, I not only produced results, but also had a direction for the next step: I plan to combine what I learned in the previous class “AI Content Production System Workshop” to let AI learn my writing style, then add the materials I collected, and regularly produce articles on engineering disputes that are helpful for SEO / GEO. On the one hand, I will share my expertise and on the other hand, I will test the results to see the results. If it goes well, this will be a low-cost, long-term accumulation of personal brand route.
Finally, thank you very much Teacher Vista. I walked into the classroom with a “Let’s see first” mentality, and when I left, I had an online website, a clear direction, and the confidence that “I can do it too.” I look forward to putting into practice what I have learned bit by bit.
Words from Vista: The tools have really changed, it’s your turn to bring your ideas online
Every time I read feedback like this, I will reconfirm one thing: what made a lawyer put his website online in 2.5 hours today was not because he suddenly learned to write programs, but because the level of the tools changed. You speak human language, Claude Code understands your intentions, and it helps you make things - this is what I have been saying “Don’t wait for engineers, your ideas can run today”.
Lawyer Huang’s story is not unique. I have also written about the process of the writer spent a weekend making a personal website. The essence is the same: when the threshold of “turning an idea into a finished product” is eliminated, the real gap is no longer technology, but whether you have a clear positioning and whether you are willing to start first. If you want to take this road a long way, “Complete Guide to Personal Branding in the AI Era” may be able to help you take the next step.
🚀 Next shift, it’s your turn to send your ideas online
The path that Lawyer Huang walked can be done by you too. “Vibe Coding for Claude Code” Practical Workshop Class 2 will start in Taipei on the morning of August 1, 2026 (Saturday). In 3 hours, you can use Claude Code in your own terminal to create a personal website, sales page or automation script that can be launched online - no engineering background is required, just come with ideas.
