The new book "Learning Vibe Coding from Zero Basics" is on the market: written for you who have never written a line of program, but want to do something by yourself

Tomorrow, September 2, 2026, my 21st book “Zero Basics Vibe Coding (opens in a new tab)” will be published.

After publishing 20 books, it stands to reason that publishing should have become a skilled process: submission, second proofreading, listing, and publicity. But this book, I feel differently. Because it is not written for people who already know programming, but for those friends who have never written a line of code, and even want to close the window when they think of writing three words of programming.

In the past few years, I have watched myself transform from a person who makes content and marketing to a person who can make websites, apps, and work automation tools by himself (even the website vista.tw itself was made in this way step by step). Not because I crammed in programming classes, but because AI appeared. I learned to use it, and it also taught me another way of doing things: clarifying what I want to do in my mind, and letting it help me turn it into something visible and usable.

Vista uses Claude Code to explain the AI development process in class

This incident gave me a profound observation about the AI era: What has really changed in this era is not who can write programs and who can’t, but that the threshold for doing it is rapidly falling. In the past, to make a website, you had to first learn grammar, logic, and a whole set of unfamiliar ways of thinking. Just getting started could keep a person out for several years. Now, as long as you can explain what you want clearly, AI will accompany you to make it step by step (Why I think now is the best time, it is the same reason). This is not about training everyone to be an engineer, but about giving everyone who could only think and wait for help from others the first opportunity to do it themselves.

Of course, I also see the other side. Many people’s first reaction to AI is fear, fear of being replaced, fear of not being able to keep up, so they choose not to touch it. But the people I know who have truly become stronger because of AI have taken the completely opposite path: they do not regard AI as a threat, but as their own legion. One person can do things that took a whole team to do in the past. This is also the core belief that I have been writing and practicing: One person plus AI can operate like an entire company.

“Zero Basics of Vibe Coding” is the first introductory book written under this belief. The book does not talk about difficult programming theories, but starts from scratch and takes you step by step to use AI to create your own website, app, and even automated tools that can save you a lot of repetitive work.

Inside page of book explaining how to read AI-generated code like a recipe

As mentioned on the page above, you don’t have to understand the program code word for word. It’s like reading a recipe. First, look at what the dish is, what ingredients are needed, and how to follow the steps. Leave the details until the end. What I want to give readers is not a programming lesson, but a personal experience that I can do myself. If you want to see how others start from scratch, there are two articles on builder.tw that I highly recommend: an entrepreneur with no engineering background at all, how to turn the phrase “there should be a system” in his mind into the first usable system (opens in a new tab); there is also a Vibe Coding practical class I gave to a roomful of bosses (opens in a new tab). What stuck them was never the budget, but the lack of knowledge of AI. What can be used for it.

If you have ever had the idea of wanting to do something, but felt that you were not a technical person and gave up, I think this book was written for you. If you want to read the complete introduction of the book first, you can go to vista.tw/books/vibecoding; if you want to buy this book directly, the book purchase link is vista.im/vibecoding (opens in a new tab).

Inside page of the book, explaining the deployment process of two real websites vista.tw and solo.tw

The book also breaks down how a website like vista.tw is actually deployed and launched step by step: write the article, push it to GitHub, and then leave the subsequent construction and launch to the automated process. You don’t need to understand every technical detail, just learn two things: archive, and then wait for it to complete itself.

This book will be officially released to everyone tomorrow. I’m looking forward to it, not to sales figures, but to seeing someone turn an idea in their head into something that’s actually online and usable for the first time because of this book. I have experienced that moment myself, and I hope more people can experience it.
