This morning, a partner from the first issue of “Vista Writing Companion Program” asked me this question: “Hey, Teacher Vista, I wonder if you have ever written an article before about how to “find pictures”? I should look for pictures after I finish writing the article. Do you have any tips?”

Well, this is indeed an important question. If you want to write a powerful article, in addition to having a sharp and unique personal point of view, it is also crucial to find the right picture combination!

Previously, I wrote an article “[Smart use of CC0 libraries to add the finishing touch to your articles] (https://www.contenthacker.today/2018/07/cc0-free-photo.html)”. In that article, I helped you organize a dozen useful CC0 libraries. Some people have also asked me which galleries I recommend the most? In fact, each gallery has its own characteristics. The ones I use most are Unsplash and Pexels.

Although these CC0 galleries contain tens of thousands of beautiful photos, I found that many websites, blogs or social media often have “image collisions”. People often use those pictures, which means not everyone is good at using the search function, which is really a pity!

Many people search for images by entering keywords, but most people only enter specific words directly. For example, if we want to write an article today to talk about “happiness”, maybe everyone will enter keywords such as “happiness” to search without thinking, right? Of course there is nothing wrong with this operation, but the process of finding pictures can easily be limited, or “collision of pictures” may occur.

At first glance, “happiness” seems a bit abstract. Now let’s think about it from another angle. Besides “happiness”, what other images can describe happiness? Well, for example, a lover’s smile, a wonderful trip, a pleasant climate or a sumptuous meal may all be associated with happiness.

Next time, after you finish writing the article, try using different keywords to search for suitable pictures! If you have any questions, please feel free to discuss them with me!
