Jessica Spencer from North Carolina, USA, is the founder of Penguin Connective. She has an MBA degree and has been working in marketing for the past 15 years.

I was very happy to have the opportunity to interview her recently. She provided some advice to friends in Taiwan’s entrepreneurial circle:

Eight marketing keys that entrepreneurs must know

  1. Follow your passion: Not just pursuing profits, but also confirming whether you can find fun in the entrepreneurial process and persist for many years?

  2. Create the right workflow: Consistency is key. If your process is not consistent or created with automation, you will get twice the result with half the effort. It is recommended for entrepreneurs to check out [AppSumo](https://appsumo.com/?clickId=yHpVIIym2xyNUO%3AyIlQ82xw7UkAxSQwNKSsVyg0&irgwc=1&utm_medium=1 Check out lifetime deals on software marketplaces like 803593&utm_campaign=Online%20Tracking%20Link&utm_source=IR) to see if there are cheap software tools that can help you create more powerful processes early on without paying a monthly fee.

  3. Understand your audience deeply: What are their pain points? What is their goal? What motivates them? Where can I find them? What types of books or magazines do they read? Answering the above questions will help you understand how to design products and give back to customers with the best quality. Business is about creating value, and it is necessary for entrepreneurs to create value for the audience and help them see the value.

  4. Be consistent: Choose a few activities that you can do daily or weekly to grow your business. For example, maybe write an article every day to build SEO. Entrepreneurs can schedule to post on social media five days a week, or participate in social events once a week. Commit to these goals and give them time to grow.

  5. Consider the 80/20 rule (80% of success usually comes from 20% of effort): Monitor your results and put more energy into activities that drive success. This will help you optimize your work and ensure you’re spending your time in the right places.

  6. Build relationships with influencers who share the same target audience: follow their updates on social media and blogs, and share them with your audience. After taking the time to really engage, letting them know what you’re doing might be valuable to their audience. Consider becoming a guest on Podcast or writing a guest post on someone else’s blog. Depending on what your company offers, consider creating an affiliate marketing program that allows influencers to earn commissions on sales from any customers they refer. Jessica particularly recommends SamCart and [ClickFunnels](https://www.clickfunnels.com/?aff= d9e007f9-e1ba-4d3b-a98d-5505af9a0966&utm_source=google&utm_campaign=18314447509&utm_medium=ad&utm_content=621452073119& utm_term=clickfunnels&wickedsource=google&wickedid=EAIaIQobChMIrfqcp5zi-wIVztKWCh1nDQXUEAAYASAAEgJrEPD_BwE&wickedid=62 1452073119&wcid=18314447509&wv=4&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIrfqcp5zi-wIVztKWCh1nDQXUEAAYASAAEgJrEPD_BwE) These two sets of software are two powerful tools for you to manage your affiliate marketing plan.

  7. Use your voice to tell the truth: It’s not enough to write a beautiful brand story, people want to connect and like to know that there is a real person behind the brand. Don’t be afraid to go public and embrace your quirkiness and the qualities that make you unique.

  8. Build a strong community with other entrepreneurs: Share your ideas and struggles with friends in the business community who are also starting their own businesses. Through the power of community, it can provide mutual accountability, celebration of success, a spirit of friendly competition, and motivation to keep going during difficult times.
