Yesterday afternoon, the weather in Taipei got slightly warmer, which was undoubtedly a good time to participate in activities. I am very glad to have the opportunity to participate in the “[Publishing March—Trends and Impact of Digital Publishing in 2021] (https://www.facebook.com/TaiwanDigital/posts/10158216238600957)” lecture co-organized by [Taiwan Digital Publishing Alliance] (http://www.dpublishing.org.tw) and City Culture.
This lecture mainly focused on three major themes, including: embracing content business opportunities, countermeasures for cross-border piracy, and sharing new knowledge on e-book technology. Exploring the present and future of digital publishing from different aspects can be said to be an intellectual feast not to be missed by content industry players.
The three major themes of this lecture are:
- Topic 1. Content business opportunities: Four experts in the content industry were invited to share their practical experience.
- Topic 2. Response to cross-border piracy: Piracy is rampant on digital platforms. How content companies should respond and safeguard copyright rights are shared by the National Federation of Publishing Associations and the Ministry of Culture.
- Theme 3. New technical knowledge: Condensing the latest EPUB e-book technology discussed by W3C International Organization this year, explaining it in an easy-to-understand way.
As a corporate lecturer who specializes in teaching [content marketing](https://www.contenthacker.today/search/label/content marketing), and also runs his own blog, Podcast, and recently has a plan to record a new podcast program, so the topic I want to hear most is naturally “Fission and Integration: Content Business Opportunities Blooming”!
As you can imagine, the scope of content business opportunities is very wide, but this lecture mainly focuses on exploring the sound economy of podcasts, which can be said to be one of the most popular topics in recent years. The conference invited Deputy General Manager Chen Haopeng of T-Kebon, General Manager Chen Zhiyu (https://www.facebook.com/Dorisneow) of Lianjing Publishing, Deputy General Manager Chen Shiyao (https://www.facebook.com/shihyao.chen) of Parent-Child World, and Director Xu Shuqing (https://www.facebook.com/sc.hsu.12) of Jinghaodi to share their views. It can be said that the lineup is gorgeous and the opportunity is rare!

Chen Haopeng, deputy general manager of T Techbang, shared with everyone their work on “T Guest Podcast” The original intention of TechPodcast” is not only to strengthen the media image and reach different types of listening public, but also to give readers ways to use the content in different scenarios. Of course, based on the extension of business logic, we also want to provide more diverse advertising forms.
“T Podcast TechPodcast” is produced by T Podcast and is operated by Taiwan’s largest publishing group “City Media Holdings Group/PChome Computer Family Group”. It is committed to providing easy-to-understand and easy-to-understand technology information to help readers grasp complex technology trends.
In their selection of topics, they naturally start from technology-related topics, but occasionally they will also intersperse some unrelated topics, such as Bossa Nova and professional baseball cheerleading teams. When talking about the content standards of podcast programs, Deputy General Manager Chen continued the logic of computer magazines to explain to everyone, focusing on the three levels of information (what is new?), procurement (which one should I buy? Where to buy it?) and skills (how to use it?).
Regarding the setting of the program style, Deputy General Manager Chen also put forward his own opinions: If you are editing a magazine, of course the style of the magazine will be the style of the editor-in-chief, but if you are running a podcast program, the program style should be similar to the personality of the host. For “T Podcast TechPodcast”, the starting point they set is “character interview”.

To put it simply, “T TechPodcast” is conducted in a pre-recorded manner, delivering content in a relaxed conversational manner, and giving listeners keywords to quickly grasp the key points of the episode. Regular release will also be of great help in developing listeners’ listening habits. The length of each episode is no less than fifteen minutes, but sometimes the chat can exceed an hour.
In addition, Deputy General Manager Chen also generously shared with everyone their process of recording the entire episode:
- Select a topic and prepare an interview outline.
- Invite guests.
- Go into the studio to record and record.
- Straight cut.
- Create content web pages.
- Social media promotion and list collection.
The recording equipment used in “T TechPodcast” is also quite simple, except for a [RODE Caster] which costs more than 20,000 yuan. Pro](https://24h.pchome.com.tw/prod/DGCF07-A900ARACB) In addition to the integrated mixing workbench, others also include microphones, cameras, DV and memory cards.
Deputy General Manager Chen emphasized that in fact, you only need a mobile phone to start recording podcasts! In the beginning, you didn’t need to put too much effort into the equipment, which I particularly agree with.
The staff of “T Podcast TechPodcast” is also very simple, mainly including: producer, host, photographer and planner. Deputy General Manager Chen laughed and said that the lineup looks very large, but in fact these are task groups, which means everyone is “doing both.”
As for the publicity and promotion of podcast programs, T Ke Bang staff will not only help with the production of each episode of “T Ke Bang” TechPodcast” program will be organized by key QA, and will also be synchronized on the Facebook fan page post. It will also be exposed as an advertising banner on the TKbang official website. In addition, we also send EDM to members and coordinate with other social media for promotion.
Finally, Deputy General Manager Chen said emotionally: “As long as you have a mobile phone, you can have your own TV station, let alone a radio station that only needs sound…”
