I still remember that on January 23, 2020, Free Day, I drove to the National Taiwan University Conference Center (https://www.meeting.com.tw/ntu/index.php (opens in a new tab)) early in the morning to attend the “Lead the Way, From Good to Great” speech hosted by TMBA. That was the first time I met the gentle and humorous Eric, and I was deeply impressed.

266 days later, I came to the same place again, this time to participate in the “Crossover Big Figure X Celebrity Lecture” organized by the Crossover Knowledge Community (opens in a new tab), and the protagonist of today’s event is also the familiar Eric (https://www.facebook.com/Ericloveinvestment (opens in a new tab)).

Mentioning Eric’s new book “Inner Force (opens in a new tab)”, it can be said that Luoyang paper is expensive. It has been on the best-selling list of Chinese books for a long time, and I can’t put it down. It goes without saying that this book has had a positive impact on many people. Affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, this celebrity lecture could not accommodate too many in-person guests. Many people were unable to enter and had to participate online. I am very happy to have the opportunity to participate in this event and hear the sharing from Eric and other guests.

In addition, I am also honored to have the opportunity to have a conversation with Eric on the topic of “living the best version of life: how to create the most beautiful and moving life painting through slash + crossover + second curve”. At the same time, the distinguished guests who talked with me also included Captain Lu (opens in a new tab), a former colleague Meizhen (opens in a new tab) who was already familiar with him, and doctor Gao Yaokai (opens in a new tab) whom I just met today.

Speaking of slash (opens in a new tab) and crossover, it seems to have become a trend in recent years. Suddenly I remembered the interview (opens in a new tab) that article (opens in a new tab) had with me before. I am really a middle-aged slash!

Many people may know that I come from the Internet industry and media, but they don’t know that I first majored in electronic engineering. Therefore, it is not surprising that I became an electronic engineer after graduation, but then I quickly changed my career path. First, I became a special assistant to the general manager, and then entered the Internet industry as a product manager (opens in a new tab) and producer.

Later, he worked in the media as a reporter, editor-in-chief and director. A few years ago, I and a group of friends founded the largest e-commerce community in Taiwan. Now, he is working as a consultant, columnist and professional lecturer…

Although everyone’s career development (opens in a new tab) is different, compared to the accomplished classmates and friends around me, most of whom have achieved impressive results on the track of life, I always feel that I have accomplished nothing. It wasn’t until I read “Inner Force (opens in a new tab)” that I felt a little relieved.

All experiences in our lives are opportunities for spiritual improvement, helping us to climb up the infinitely upward ladder one after another.

Compared with my friends who only focus on doing one or two jobs well, when I look back on my past work experience, I feel a little ashamed. But having said that, although these jobs with different attributes span a wide range of fields, they are also very challenging and have given me a lot of experience and nutrients.

If I could choose again, it’s hard to say whether I would just focus on one job, or would I want to try a variety of different possibilities? But one thing I am sure of is that if I could go back to the time when I just graduated from college, in addition to considering the valuable experience of my elders and those who have been through it, I would also like to listen more to my inner voice.

Just like Eric in “Inner Force (opens in a new tab)” mentioned in the book: Everything in life has its meaning. As long as you keep your original intention, you can exert your powerful inner force and influence many people.
