A while ago, I was in the new book section of several bookstores on Chongqing South Road and saw this book “IT knowledge is your competitiveness: 5 hours of special training to upgrade your digital brain, allowing you to think, make decisions, and evolve faster and more accurately than others!” ](https://www.books.com.tw/exep/assp.php/vista/products/0010813415?utm_source=vista&utm_medium=ap-books&utm_content=recommend&utm_campaign=ap-201903)》, I am also familiar with GLOBIS Business School who wrote this book.

GLOBIS Business School is located in Tokyo, Japan. It is an institution of higher learning with the development goal of cultivating international senior management talents who lead social innovation and change. The school was founded in 1992 and is now the largest business school in Japan.

An IT introductory book that can also be understood by liberal arts students

Many friends only know that I have been in the media for a long time, but they don’t know that I actually have a science and engineering background, or am a product manager, and I am also involved in technology industries such as electronics and the Internet. So, when I saw this book, I felt very kind. Today I took the time to read this book carefully, and suddenly I felt… If there could be such a book when I was working in the media, that would be great!

─That’s because many colleagues in the media industry have humanities or business management backgrounds. They are really devoted to the work of interviewing and reporting. However, because they majored in different fields in college, they may not have a deep knowledge and understanding of information technology. Therefore, once you encounter a high-tech industry interview, you often need to spend a lot of time researching online or buying books to find information in advance.

“[IT knowledge is your competitiveness](https://www.books.com.tw/exep/assp.php/vista/products/0010813415?utm_source=vista&utm_medium=ap-b ooks&utm_content=recommend&utm_campaign=ap-201903)” This book claims to use simple but systematic language and concepts that “can also be understood by liberal arts students” to describe the basic IT knowledge and skills required in today’s workplace, and to provide an efficient learning method. The “IT basic knowledge” mentioned in this book is not to teach computer software operation skills, but to systematically introduce the impact and application of new technological knowledge on business so that readers can use it as a reference when thinking, judging and making decisions.

Japan’s GLOBIS Business School, which wrote this book, claims that it allows readers to quickly master [IT knowledge] in five hours (https://www.books.com.tw/exep/assp.php/vista/products/0010813415?utm_s ource=vista&utm_medium=ap-books&utm_content=recommend&utm_campaign=ap-201903). Since it is a subject that I am very familiar with, I finished reading it in less than half an hour! I think this is really an introductory book suitable for understanding IT knowledge. It can be placed on the desk for easy reference at any time.

You can read it according to your own needs or interests, and it is not necessary to read it in the order in which this book is organized. For myself, I am particularly interested in business models, so I quickly turned to the “Skills 10” unit and wanted to know how to create a platform-based business model.

Rich charts help quick understanding

For example, the chart “The Concept and Components of Digital Transformation” on page 155 gave me a deeper understanding of [Digital Transformation] (https://www.vistabook.club/2018/12/dual-transformation.html).
